What’s new in Magento 2.3.4?
As with every Magento update, there’s a whole heap of new features to explore, as well as the usual bug fixes and security patches.
Page Builder Improvements
Since Page Builder was introduced for Magento Commerce solutions in March 2019, the take-up has grown exceptionally quickly, and we’ve seen more and more merchants using the functionality to create landing pages and on-site experiences with ease.
As part of the updates in Magento 2.3.4, merchants using Page Builder will be able to have far more control over how their products are featured within Page Builder blocks, with more sophisticated sorting available as well as more visual options for showcasing products.
If your website is still using BlueFoot PageBuilder and you’d like to move over to Magento’s native Page Builder, speak to your PM or raise a support ticket.
Adobe Stock Integration
Everyone knows that compelling visuals are integral to every website, yet many merchants don’t have access to bespoke imagery and videos, relying heavily on stock assets from third party depositories.
Magento 2.3.4 introduces arguably the biggest integration of Adobe products, since its acquisition of Magento back in 2018. Adobe Stock, which will be exclusive to the Magento platform, allows users to search the Media Gallery and browse millions of images and video for use on your website and licensed through your Adobe ID.
To help with the roll-out of Adobe Stock, Magento merchants renewing or activating new licenses will receive a free bank of credits to use – speak to your PM or Magento Customer Success Manager to find out more.
Since its integration in Magento Commerce 2.2.2, dotdigital has been taken by up more and more merchants to overhaul their communications strategy with their customers out of the box.
With Magento 2.3.4, dotdigital has branched out to include Chat, with one free agent available for merchants to get testing.
With Chat, merchants have a direct, real-time touchpoint with customers to share assets such as files, receipts and product demos, answer pre and post-sales queries and upsell related products.
As well as functionality updates, Magento has released security patches for both Magento Commerce and Open Source editions, addressing critical vulnerabilities and safeguarding your site.
